Beacon Hill

Matthew January 17, 2012

Beacon Hill near Newbury is the site of an Iron Age hillfort and also the tomb of George Herbert, 5th Earl of Carnarvon, discoverer of Kink Tutankhamun’s tomb. As one of the highest spots in the county you get amazing views of the surrounding countryside despite the eyesore of the A34 bypass.
